This striking wood Key Ring is made from Cocobolo Rosewood and Chrome Trim. It has a brilliant finish, strong grain from the many different woods and a very unique appearance.  The wood is turned on a lathe, sanded and finished with four coats of polish, all by hand.  This creates a beautiful shine that brings out the natural beauty of the wood.

It is a water proof, high gloss finish that is non-toxic and non-flammable after drying.  Over time, the oils from your hand will enhance the finish and the wood may darken
.

Chrome is an extremely long wearing plating capable of resisting everyday wear and tear.  Highly recommended, chrome gives you a shiny rich look.

I do not use duplicating equipment in any of my work. Each item is handmade one at a time. Therefore, even with like woods, with their unique and varying grain patterns, no two key rings will be identical. This key ring is truly one of a kind.

I take custom orders.  If you do not see what you are are looking for, message me to have a key ring, or any other item, custom made.

NOTICE:  NO TREES WERE HARMED IN ANY WAY IN THE MAKING OF THIS PRODUCT.  THE WOOD IS HARVESTED FROM THE PRUNING OF TREES.
Cocobolo Rosewood:
Cocobolo is a tropical hardwood of the tree Dalbergia retusa from Central America. Only the heartwood is used: this is typically orange or reddish-brown in color, often with a figuring of darker irregular traces weaving through the wood. The sapwood (not often used) is a creamy yellow, with a sharp boundary with the heartwood. The heartwood is known to change color after being cut, lending to its appeal.

Cocobolo is oily in look and feel. This oil lends a strong, unmistakable floral odor even to well seasoned wood and occasionally stains the hands with prolonged exposure. Standing up well to repeated handling and exposure to water, a common use is in gun grips and knife handles. It is very hard, fine textured and dense, but is easily machined, although due to the abundance of natural oils, the wood tends to clog abrasives and fine-toothed saw blades, like other very hard, very dense tropical woods. Due to its density and hardness, even a large block of the cut wood will produce a clear musical tone if struck. Cocobolo can be polished to a lustrous, glassy finish.
