Select Extra Cross™ Style Ball Point Refills

The Designer pen could be mistaken for one of the most expensive writing instruments in the world.  It is sure to be a keepsake for years to come.

The wood is turned on a lathe, sanded and finished, all by hand, with four coats of polish. This creates a beautiful shine that brings out the natural beauty of the wood.  It is a water proof, high gloss finish that is non-toxic and non-flammable after drying. Over time, the oils from your hand will enhance the finish and the wood may darken.

This pen, as in all of my pens, has a Private Reserve Cross Style Refill.  Private Reserve Ink is the worlds largest manufacturer for bottled inks.  Once you use Private Reserve Ink, you will not want an other.

No duplicating equipment is used in my work, therefore, even with like woods, no two Pens will be identical. This Pen is truly one of a kind.

The 24kt gold uses a "premium rack plating" process and is covered with an epoxy coating for extreme durability. Its beauty and durability has a lifetime guarantee or your money back.

WALNUT WOOD:

Juglans is a plant genus of the family Juglandaceae, the seeds of which are known as Walnuts. The 21 species in the genus range across the north temperate Old World from southeast Europe east to Japan, and more widely in the New World from southeast Canada west to California and south to Argentina. The trivial name walnut derives from Old English wealhhnutu, literally ‘foreign nut,’ with wealh meaning ‘foreign.’ The walnut was so called because it was introduced from Gaul and Italy. The Latin name for the Walnut was nux Gallica, Gallic nut.

The two most commercially important species are Juglans Regia for timber and nuts, and Juglans Nigra for timber. Both species have similar cultivation

Requirements and are widely grown in temperate zones.

The common walnut and black walnut and it’s allies, are important for their attractive timber, which is hard, dense tight-grained and polishes to a very smooth finish. The color ranges from creamy white in the sapwood to a dark chocolate color in the heartwood. When kiln-dried, walnut wood tends toward a dull brown color, but when air-dried can become a rich purplish-brown. Because of it’s color, hardness and grain, it is a prized furniture and carving wood. Walnut burls are commonly used to create bowls and other turned pieces. Walnut wood has been the timber of choice for gun makers for centuries.

Black walnut (Juglans nigra) is highly prized for its dark-colored, true heartwood. It is heavy and strong, yet easily split and worked. Walnut wood has historically been used for gunstocks, furniture, flooring, paddles, coffins, and a variety of other wood products.
